General Terms and Conditions

FEEDBACK

We are happy to receive feedback on our translation. It is not unusual for someone to want to change a few specialist terms or expressions, and we are happy to update the text. The advantage of this is also that the translator receives feedback and can update his or her glossaries for future assignments. This is included in the original price.
Any changes made subsequently to the manuscript will, however, be billed at the normal hourly rate.

LIABILITY

Språkbolaget AB cannot accept responsibility for any errors in the source text sent for translation and cannot incur financial liability for any complaints to an amount greater than the price quoted for the assignment. 

THE PRICE

The price and other terms of delivery apply on the condition that the workflow is not disrupted by changes to delivery times, additions or amendments to the manuscript and other similar events. Delivery by courier is not included in the price. 

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Terms of payment: 30 days net as standard. For new customers, we apply anything from payment in advance to payment in 20 days, depending on what is permitted by the credit report. Large volumes are invoiced in instalments by agreement.

COMPLAINTS

You must submit any complaints about errors in the work in writing to Språkbolaget AB without unreasonable delay once you have discovered the error, and in no case any later than two weeks after delivery of the work. If you do not submit a complaint in writing within the deadlines specified, you lose the right to lodge a claim in respect of the error.

CANCELLATION OF TRANSLATION

For cancellations made after the assignment has been submitted, but before work has started, the Client may be billed for administrative costs.

If cancellation is received after work has started, the Client is billed for the full amount or part of the amount specified in Språkbolaget’s quotation, corresponding to what Språkbolaget considers in its own judgement to correspond to work undertaken. Wherever possible, Språkbolaget shall deliver the part of the assignment that has been completed at the point of cancellation. 

INTEREST ON OVERDUE PAYMENT

If payment is delayed, an annual rate of interest is payable corresponding to 24 percentage points of the overdue amount until payment is made.

PAYMENT REMINDER

The Client is obliged to pay compensation to Språkbolaget AB for written payment reminders relating to the debt at the highest amount set out in the Swedish Ordinance on Debt Collection Expenses.

PROOFREADING AND LINGUISTIC REVIEW

When Språkbolaget delivers proofread files in Word or as post-it notes in PDF files, Språkbolaget only accepts responsibility for the corrections delivered. Språkbolaget does not accept responsibility for the corrections being correctly inserted by the customer. In the event of significant changes to material, we recommend that a second manuscript be submitted to Språkbolaget for proofreading.

VALIDITY OF THE QUOTATION

Quotations remain valid for 10 days from the current date.
